Clarksburg CAN is a network of churches and organizations working together to promote short and long term solutions to the problem of hunger in the Clarksburg community.
Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults. To do our part as global citizens, the Clarksburg 5k is proud to support Compassion International. A portion of the proceeds from the Clarksburg 5k will be made to Compassion International to support their work on behalf of over 1 million children worldwide.
The Dwelling Place provides transitional housing opportunities and support for families experiencing homelessness in Montgomery County, helping them to achieve and maintain self sufficiency. It allows them to stay together while The Dwelling Place staff provides support and guidance. During their time in the program, family members are able to address the issues that led them to homelessness. Everything that The Dwelling Place does reflects a belief that the potential represented by homeless families--both children and adults--should not be wasted.
